Niall McVey

Niall is a qualified Social Worker originally from Ireland, now based in Perth after relocating in August 2024. Niall brings over ten years’ experience across social care, support work, and professional social work roles, working with a wide range of people with diverse, complex needs. This experience has mainly focused on supporting children and young people in care and care leavers, however, spent some time supporting families who were seeking asylum.

Niall is passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives and believes in building strong, trusting relationships. Niall is highly experienced in trauma-informed practice, with his work strongly underpinned by values such as empathy and respect, as well as an understanding of each person’s lived experience. Moreover, Niall is passionate about advocating for people to ensure their voice is heard and empowering people to help them reach their full potential.
